Is the print quality from Rossmann accepted by authorities?

IMPORTANT: Since May 1st, 2025, new rules apply in Germany! Self-printed passport photos (even from Rossmann) are NO LONGER accepted for official passports and ID cards. You now need a certified photo booth or state-recognized photographer who provides a QR code. HOWEVER: Some other institutions (e.g. for driver's licenses, student IDs, or other documents) may still accept self-made passport photos. Check with the specific authority or institution in advance. Do I need a USB stick to print at Rossmann?

No! The modern print stations at Rossmann also support direct transfer from smartphones via cable or Bluetooth. A USB stick is optional.
